George Torres II

President, Founder and Owner

George founded the company on the principles of “lets always do the right thing and how can we help others?”  In 2006 George recognized an ever-growing need in the Senior Home Care Industry as he experienced this first hand when his own Grandparents were needing assistance. He truly felt this to be a calling by God to help the elderly and create job opportunities for his community. His multiple years of healthcare, long term care and financial planning experience prepared him to be a valuable resource within the industry.

His daily pray is “Thank You Lord for all my blessings, may my blessings be blessings to others.” George is truly grateful for the amazing office and field staff which River City Home Care employs and the families in which we service throughout San Antonio and the Surrounding Areas. George is proud to be actively involved with numerous nonprofit and charitable organizations which serve the community. Most importantly, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and their two amazing children.


Arthur Pike

Chief Executive Officer / Owner

My passion has always been to do what I can to help others. It is vital that our clients, receive quality compassionate care while maintaining a sense of independence in their own home. There is a keen awareness that no single care approach may be ideal for every individual. My background includes training in a wide range of modalities including The Dementia Care Coach, Psychology of Aging, and Fall Prevention among others. It is equally important to provide a positive, compassionate, respectful and understanding work environment for the team that goes out every day to help our clients. Our team is cognizant of our mission and is regarded as one the best in the industry.

My Educational background include a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in Psychological Science from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I’ve undergone Management training programs through Lean Six Sigma to include The Ownership Spirit.

I joined the River City Home Care team a little over 10 years ago after leaving respected career in the Banking industry. I was employed by Wells Fargo (Formally World Savings) where I served as Vice President of Retention Operations. During my 14-year tenure in banking, I had the opportunity to develop several new departments involved in Customer Relations and Employee retention efforts. Although I gained significant experience and enjoyed my years with the bank, the opportunity I have at River City Home Care to be in a role of OUTREACH and help clients remain living comfortably in their home, continues to be a truly rewarding experience just knowing I’m being of service to people.


Dora Rodriguez

Administrator / Vice President of Operations

Dora has over 12 years of experience working in healthcare and has been with River City Home Care since its inception in 2006. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of the Incarnate Word.

Dora loves spending time with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys traveling, cooking and visiting with family and friends.


Betsy Miller

Assistant Vice President of Operations

Betsy has been with River City Home Care since 2011 and started as a Caregiver with clients. Her dedication and professionalism quickly allowed her to move up into several administrative roles within the organization. She would ultimately take the role as Client Care Coordinator and helped with Billing and Payroll. In 2015 Betsy and her husband decided to relocate to his home town of Corpus Christi Texas. She was recently promoted to Vice President of Operations. She is actively involved in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with multiple ministries. Betsy is happily married and the two of them have a beautiful baby boy.


Lisa Autry

Marketing Director

Lisa Autry is a licensed Group 1 insurance agent with more than 26 years experience in the LTC industry. Before joining RCHC, she helped educate and advise seniors on LTC insurance to include suitability, underwriting, benefit eligibility & policy interpretation. She has helped countless clients and family members navigate thru the claim process and is qualified and licensed to answer all of your LTC Insurance questions. Lisa is a proud Swim Mom who enjoys cheering for her 3 children, running and spending time with her husband, Scott.


Karla V. Busch-McEwen

Compliance and Training Officer

Karla has been with RCHC since October 2012. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Business Administration with 5 years of experience in government management consulting, ten years in marketing and training, and six years in personal attendant services for the elderly. Karla enjoys the outdoors with her husband, son and goofy chocolate lab.


Frieda Calamaco

Billing Specialist

Frieda Calamaco is a Billing Specialist for River City Home Care (RCHC). Frieda helps take the worry and guesswork out of filing a claim. As a courtesy to our clients, she processes and files each claim from start to finish. Frieda has worked for RCHC for three years and has also held positions as a Hiring Manager and Client Care Coordinator–she trained and placed caregivers with clients to meet their needs.

Frieda learned the importance of a work-life balance while attending San Antonio College, working full-time, and raising a family, which helped her to be more productive and successful in every area of her life, including her spiritual life.

After spending over 25 years working in customer service and as an administrative professional for both CPS Energy and AT&T, Frieda’s experience allows her to connect well with people, encourage and communicate new ideas, and share her computer skills with her co-workers.

Frieda enjoys spending quality time with her family, drawing and painting, refurbishing furniture, and listening to all genres of music.


Cecilia Ceballos

Client Care Coordinator

Cecilia worked as a caregiver for 25 years, and also served as a chiropractic assistant/office manager for 9 years. She brought her experience to RCHC in 2013 working in customer service, as well as management. With her background in home care, she was able to embrace her role as Client Coordinator/Hiring Manager. For the past year and a half, her main role has been Client Coordinator where she finds and fosters great matches helping to build and maintain client/caregiver relationships. Her professionalism and kind heart enhances the lives of her clients, as well as here caregivers.


Gina Boone

Client Care Coordinator

Gina has been with RCHC since October of 2018 as the Hiring Manager as well as Client Care Coordinator. Gina is a native of San Antonio and holds a degree in Medical Practice Management. She has over 20 years’ experience in customer service, management, and has been in the Home Care industry for the past 8 years. Gina stays very busy outside of the office with her three beautiful daughters and all of their activities.


Courtney M. Derisse

Client Care Coordinator

Courtney has over 13 years of experience in education, employee management and development. She has a Bachelors Degree in Communication Sciences and a MS in Education Leadership and Administration.  She  believes in creating an efficient, caring, and  family-like atmosphere in the workplace that values the employees and the clients.  Courtney is a wife and has two beautiful daughters. She enjoys sports, Broadway musicals and traveling.
